Master Chief Jeffrey E. Jones Jr. is a native of Stockton, California and enlisted in the Navy in June 1997. Following completion of Basic Training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL, he reported to NATTC Pensacola, FL, where he graduated from Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) “A” school.

CMDCS (SW/AW) Eddie Kaneala Ko is native of Nanakuli, Hawaii, He graduated from Nanakuli High and Intermediate in 2002. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 2002 and graduated from Recruit Training Command and Electricians Mate “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Commander Ira “Eli” Marshall is a native of Palm Coast, FL where he attended high school. He received his commission in 2001 from the United States Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantitative Economics. Following flight training at NAS Whiting Field, Commander Marshall was designated an unrestricted Naval Aviator in June 2003. He then reported to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Forty (HSL-40) at Naval Station Mayport and completed Fleet Replacement Training in the SH-60B Seahawk Helicopter in March 2004.

Captain Prince, a native of Fairport, New York, graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and was commissioned through the NROTC program. He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2004 with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and from the Naval War College in 2017 with a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs and Strategic Studies.

Captain Kurtis J. Krug is a native of Papillion, Nebraska and graduated from Papillion La Vista High School in May 1988. He enlisted in the Navy as a submarine Machinist Mate in 1988 and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. In 2001 he commissioned as an Ensign through the Limited Duty Officer program as a Submarine Engineering/Repair Officer.

In the 647th Air Base Group, he leads 1,200 personnel, five squadrons, and religious services, to deliver the full range of mission support for base, theater, and global joint air operations as required by the Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific.

CAPT Sam “Smokey” White, a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Chemistry, received his commission from Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. Following completion of Surface Officer School in Newport, Rhode Island, he reported to USS TORTUGA (LSD 46) where he earned his Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) designation. CAPT White is a 2007 graduate of the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC), Montgomery, Alabama, where he received a master’s degree in military Operational Art and Science.

Master Chief Newsom is a native of Memphis, TN and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He entered the United States Navy in January 2001. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL he reported to Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL, where he completed apprenticeship training.
