Captain Anthony M. Pecoraro

A native of Grayslake, IL, Captain Pecoraro enlisted in the United States Navy in December 1984 as a Hull Technician.  After tours on the USS DIXON (AS 37); Advanced Welding School, Naval Training Center San Diego, USS MCKEE (AS 41); and Naval Training Center Great Lakes, HTC(SW) Pecoraro was commissioned as an Ensign, under the Limited Duty Officer Program on May 1st 1999.

His Operational tours include: Damage Control Assistant on USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40); Chief Engineer on SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM 5); 1st Lieutenant on ARCO (ARDM 4); Port Operations Officer at Naval Support Activity La Maddelena IT; Main Propulsion Assistant on USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40); Intermediate Maintenance Officer at SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE (SDVT-1); Assistant Officer-in-Charge at Naval Special Warfare Group THREE Intermediate Maintenance Detachment; Executive Officer of Naval Special Warfare Logistic and Support Unit THREE (LOGSU-3); and Executive Officer of Naval Base Kitsap.  His most recent assignment was serving as Executive Officer on USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40).

He was promoted to Commander September 2020, and is entitled to wear the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy Achievement Medal (seven awards), and various campaign and unit awards.  His qualifications include Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW), Officer of the Deck (OOD), Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Docking Officer and Officer-In-Charge of Small Craft.
