Media Release: PMRF sets Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness Four

From Pacific Missile Range Facility Public Affairs

PACIFIC MISSLE RANGE FACILITY, Kekaha, Hawai`i – In preparation for Hurricane Lowell, the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) has set Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) four (4) with destructive and sustained winds of 50 knots or greater possible within 72 hours.

PMRF personnel and base housing residents should take this opportunity to complete emergency preparedness kits, maintain gas and propane tanks above 75% full, secure all outdoor equipment or items that could become projectile in high winds and stay tuned to local media as forecasts develop.

Additionally, personnel are encouraged to confirm or update emergency contact information and should complete their current TCCOR checklist.
