Aloha and Welcome to Hawaii!
Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is an active, thriving installation with restricted access for authorized personnel only.
Many of the historic sites are located outside our gates, such as the USS Arizona Memorial and the Bowfin Memorial and Museum. These sites are open to the public and no special access is necessary.
USS Arizona Memorial tours are offered by the National Park Service, World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument. For reserved tickets, visit www.recreation.gov. This convenient online service will allow you to select your tour date and time for a nominal fee. Ticket reservation is highly recommended to reduce your wait time, especially in peak travel season. If you are interested in the fascinating world of underwater living, a visit to the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park offers a superb view of the “Silent Service” made famous during WWII. The USS Bowfin was launched one year after the December 7th attacks and has been nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger.
